Busy, busy, busy.

Hey there all you lovely people. Been ultra busy the last month or so. So I apologize for being so absent. So here’s an update on whats been happening.

Been busy (as usual) painting the Beautiful Bondi Beach promenade. I did a double section with a new generation writer “GATES”. I had seen seen his work on the net. He has great style and color work so I was interested in meeting and working with him. So we got down to business and pulled off a nice piece of art. (Pics on walls page). He’s a great guy and has a pool of talent.

This month I was contacted by North Sydney Boys High School to paint a mural of their school basketball mascot (a falcon) and a basket baller. The design was done by one of the students Will Zhang and they wanted me to execute the design in the school Gymnasium. It was a fun day as it reminded me of my high school days. Check out the custom page for pics.

At the beginning of the month I painted a legal was at Cherrybrook. It’s the last one in the area after the wall at Westleigh (Ruddock Park) was removed due to local residents complaints. Disappointing as some of the art that the wall was utilized for will now go back to the streets which in my opinion is a worse outcome. Anyways, it was a great day to paint and I even caught up with some friends who happen to drop by the wall to see what was on it.

Last of all.. I was granted another permit from Waverly Council to paint Bondi Beach promenade. It rained on the Sunday so painting wasn’t an option. Then Monday morning I received a call from a friend Dan. Dan owns Notorious & Co, a hip hop clothing store in Curlewis St Bondi Beach. He informed me that hip hop group Jurassic 5 were here touring. J5 are a positive force and one of my favs. One of the crew Chali 2na amazing aerosol artist and was hoping to paint whilst here. What an opportunity. We made a visit to Westsyde skate & graffiti store on Oxford St in the city, got our supplies and headed out to beautiful Bondi. The wall was completed in 3 days by Chali 2na, RJ (Westsyde proprietor). I also got to meet RJ’s good friend Torah Bright (Winter Olympian gold and bronze winner. An amazing girl and a pleaseure to meet. Pics are on the walls page. It was an amazing 3 days with those guys. Talented, intelligent, humble and larger than life. I was also invited (plus 1) to the show that night at The Enmore Theater in Newtown. I tell you, what an amazing show and crowd. Had a heap of fun with a very close friend Claudia, met some other long term friends and had a blast.

If you like hip hop and want to listen to something a bit lighter with tonnes of funk and head  bobbing beats, Jurassic 5 are def worth a listen to.

So it rained on the Sunday, I didn’t get to paint solo. But look what eventuated from that. Very blessed. Everything happens for a reason.

Until next time. keep smiling.

So thank you Chali, Jerimiah, RJ & Aron for a great few days. Its always good to meet new people with amazing attitudes.
